BIOGRAPHY
Zenobia Shroff started her career in Mumbai under the tutelage of the legendary Pearl Padamsee. With Padamsee’s support, she studied acting at New York’s Circle in the Square Theater School and shortly after graduating, she landed work at the off-Broadway Castle Theater. Since then, she dedicated her career to theater and teaching, teaching theater and movement extensively in New York City and Mumbai, primarily to low-income and inner-city children. In 2017, she got a boost to a large audience thanks to her role as Kumail Nanjiani’s mother in That’s Why They Call It Love , which earned her a SAG nomination for best ensemble. This was followed by a recurring role on season 4 of The Affair (2018) as Priya Ullah, and appearances on The Resident (2018) and Madam Secretary (2018). She will soon be seen in the lead role of Muneeba Khan, the mother of Kamala/Ms. Marvel in the long-awaited Ms. Marvel (2022).
