Prince Harry is the grandson of the reigning British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. Born to heir apparent, Charles Prince of Wales, Harry is currently sixth to the throne of England.

Harry was born in London on September 15, 1984 to Lady Diana, Princess of Wales and Charles, Prince of Wales. Harry and his older brother Prince William attended independent schools as children. Harry was enrolled at Ludgrove School and later went on to study at Eton College.

As a child, it didn’t take too long for the world to notice that he was the more modest, adventurous and often mischievous of the two princes. His adventures and crimes would continue to characterize his early teenage life.

Her parents divorced in 1996 and the following year her mother Princess Diana died in a car accident in France. Visibly shaken and distressed, Harry would turn to more unorthodox ways to vent his pent up grief.

Growing up the paparazzi were never far away, it was no secret that Harry’s lifestyle and disposition made him a more sensitive target for the press dog than his more conservative brother William.

It was easy to spot him in pubs, local clubs, having a drink and trying to live like all the other teenagers his age. The problem was, he was no ordinary teenager, he was elite royalty. Among other skirmishes, he was caught smoking marijuana in the summer of 2001, the negative press he was producing became a matter of concern for the Royal Family and after talks with his father he was taken away visiting a drug rehabilitation center in South London to see firsthand the negative effects of drug abuse.

In a bid to help the young prince regain his focus and perspective, he moved to Lesotho during his gap year in 2004. In the southern African country, Harry worked with children orphaned by HIV/AIDS, using its influence to raise funds and awareness.

Upon returning to the UK, Harry chose not to attend University, preferring to undergo military training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. On the 8th of May 2005, he joined the army. After two years of service, Harry was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and was soon to be sent to the war front alongside this unit.

After initial concerns about his safety, Harry was eventually sent to Afghanistan where he spent two months. Between 2009 and 2012, the Prince trained to become a combat helicopter pilot in the army, a training that earned him another chance at military duty in the war in Afghanistan. In 2015, after ten active years in the military, Prince Harry ended his military posting to focus on his other interests.

Prince Harry also had an adventurous love of life. He had affairs and relationships with pop stars, models, actresses and socialites. He first dated Chelsy Davy, the daughter of a Zimbabwean billionaire he met while in southern Africa. The relationship lasted for seven years, between which the Prince had other brief relationships.

During one of his ‘breaks’ from dating Chelsy, he had a fling with singer Natalie Imbruglia in 2009. Later that same year Harry met TV host Caroline Flack, the romance only lasted only a few weeks.

In 2010, it was singer Camilla Romestrand, who caught the attention of the charming prince, but not for long, Harry was back with Chelsy again but finally broke up with her for good in 2011.

In June 2016, Prince Harry began dating Americanactress Meghan Merkel. The pair hooked up after a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. Their engagement was announced on November 27, 2017, and the royal wedding took place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.
