The title of this article says it all! Jennifer Lopez took the stage in Dallas and performed a cover of 'No Me Queda Mas,' originally sung by slain Tejano singer Selena [Quintanilla-Perez]. If you're a fan of J. Lo, then you know that Lopez portrayed the singer in the 1997 film aptly titled 'Selena.'
Back in '97, one could argue that Lopez was pretty unknown in the industry, and her film career was just about to take off. But then came the film 'Selena,' a biopic of the beloved singer from Texas whose life was cut short by Yolanda Saldivar, her fan club President and close friend of the Quintanilla family; it's arguably what accelerated Lopez's now stunning singing career.
At the Dallas stop of her 'Dance Again' tour at the American Airlines Center, Lopez paid tribute to Selena by performing 'No Me Queda Mas' for the first time ever since the film's release. It should also be known that Dallas was the only stop where Lopez performed the tribute, seeing as though it was the closest tour stop to Selena's hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Lopez performs a beautiful rendition of the song, but we almost wish she covered 'Bidi Bidi Bom Bom' clad in a bustier!
