BROCKPORT - The Horton Township Volunteer Fire Department will unveil its new home Aug. 13.
Fire Captain PJ Piccirillo said the company will have an open house and ribbon cutting of the new fire station at 2 p.m. at 6921 Route 219.
The public is invited to attend.
The new 3,800-square-foot station houses the department's fire engine, rescue/pumper, tanker and utility brush truck.
Piccirillo said the new location will help improve response times by more than 10 minutes per call to better serve the 1,400 residents in the 57-square-mile area.
The total cost of the project was roughly $140,000.
