Woodward-area woman pleads 'no contest' in stabbing death of former boyfriend

Authorities in Centre County say a Woodward-area woman pleaded "no contest" Friday afternoon in the stabbing death of her former boyfriend last April.

Investigators say Brittany Guisewhite, 28, was accused of stabbing Robert Farwell during an argument at her home along Mountain Ave.

Guisewhite made repeated claims of self-defense, as well as claims of PTSD and Battered Woman Syndrome.

Officials say Guisewhite faces up to eight years in state prison as part of the plea bargain.

She will be formally sentenced in September.
